Nine Men's Morris

Place your nine pieces, form mills and capture your opponent's pieces in this classic board game! Nine Men's Morris is a timeless duel of strategy: play against the computer on three levels or share the device with a friend, ask for a hint when you are stuck, take back a slip with Undo and, when only three pieces remain, fly across the board. Easy to learn, hard to master!
How to play Nine Men's Morris
Tap a point to place a piece. Later, tap a piece and then a marked point (or drag the piece there) to slide it along a line. On a keyboard use the arrow keys to move between points and Enter or Space to choose; Esc cancels, H shows a hint, U takes back your last move, R starts a new game and M mutes the sound. Each player has nine pieces. First you take turns placing them on empty points, then you slide them to neighbouring points. Three of your pieces in a row on a line make a mill, and a mill lets you take one of your opponent's pieces, but not one that is itself in a mill unless every piece is. With only three pieces left you may fly to any empty point. You win when your opponent is down to two pieces or cannot move. The same position three times, or 50 moves each without a capture, is a draw. Choose the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or play two players on one device; a win against the computer scores more on harder levels, for quick wins and without hints or undo. Plan your mills so that one move closes one while opening another! ⚪
