Two battlegroups, one front line. Line of Contact is a turn-based tactical wargame on a hex grid: capture objectives, keep your supply lines open and decide every turn whether to spend your order cards now or save them for one decisive strike. Fight through fog of war and destructible terrain on four hand-built sectors or a random one, against the computer or a friend on the same screen.

How to play Line of Contact

Choose a sector and start a battle against the AI (you command Blue) or with two players on one screen. At the start of each turn, choose which of the three offered order cards to keep; you can hold five. Select a unit, then click a lit hex to move or a ringed enemy to fire. A unit may move and then fire; firing ends its turn. Entering a hex next to a spotted enemy stops movement. Click a card in your hand to play it for command points (CP): you earn 2 CP per turn plus 1 per objective held. At the end of each round, every objective you own scores 1 victory point (VP). Win by reaching the sector's VP target, by leading when time runs out, or by ending a round with a unit on the enemy HQ. Units connected to your HQ or a held depot refill ammo and fuel; the Supply button shows how far your supply reaches. Press End turn when you are done. Your battle is saved in this browser after every turn. The game interface is in English.
