Place your stones on the board and be the first to line up five in a row! Gomoku is a classic strategy duel on a 15×15 board: play against the computer on three levels or hand the device to a friend, spot the last move by its red dot, take back a slip with Undo and watch the winning line light up. Want a warm-up? Switch to tic-tac-toe on a 3×3 board. Easy to learn, endlessly deep to master!

How to play Gomoku

Click or tap an empty point to place a stone. On a small touchscreen tap once to aim and a second time to place, or press the magnifier to zoom the board and scroll it. On a keyboard use the arrow keys to move, Enter or Space to place, U to undo, R for a new game, Z to zoom and M to mute. Black moves first and the sides take turns. The first side to line up five or more stones in a row, across, up and down or diagonally, wins (freestyle rules: a longer line counts too), and the winning line lights up. A red dot marks the last move. If the board fills up with no five in a row, the game is a draw. Play against the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or share one device with a friend. Tic-tac-toe is the easy warm-up: three in a row on a 3×3 board, and on Hard the computer never loses. A win against the computer earns a score that is higher on harder levels, for quick wins and when you use no Undo. Build an open three, then an open four: it cannot be blocked at both ends! ⚫⚪
