Checkers

Jump, capture and crown your kings in the classic game of checkers! Play on the 8x8 board or switch to the 10x10 international draughts board with flying kings. Take on the computer at three levels or share one device with a friend, see every legal move highlighted and undo a slip. Easy to learn, a joy to master!
How to play Checkers
Tap or click a piece to see where it can go, then tap a highlighted square—or drag the piece there. On a keyboard use the arrow keys to move the cursor, Enter or Space to pick up and drop a piece, Escape to cancel, U to undo, R for a new game and M to mute. Pieces move diagonally forward on the dark squares. Capturing is compulsory: jump over an opposing piece to remove it, and keep jumping if you can. Reach the far row to become a king. On the 8x8 board a king moves one square in any direction; on the 10x10 board men may also capture backwards, kings fly along the diagonal and you must take the most pieces. Choose the board, the opponent (the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or 2 players on one device) and press Play. You win when the other side cannot move; a position repeated three times or a long run of quiet moves is a draw. The game interface follows the site language. Good luck! 👑
